Runs from Syria, at Mt. Hermon, across Israel, to the Dead Sea.

The Jordan is more than 223 miles in length,
because of it meandering, actual distance between its source and the
Dead Sea is less than 124 miles.
The Jordan is clear, and in places reaches a width of over twenty yards
and in places a depth of nearly seventeen feet.
