Jordan River

The major river in ancient Israel,

Runs from Syria, at Mt. Hermon, across Israel, to the Dead Sea.
Lowest river in the world  at a depth of 1,312 feet below sea level.
The Jordan is more than 223 miles in length,
because of it meandering, actual distance between its source and the Dead Sea is less than 124 miles.
The Jordan is clear, and in places reaches a width of over twenty yards
and in places a depth of nearly seventeen feet.

And about 15 times in the New Testament.
